Harry Potter Fame Daniel Radcliffe Engaged to Girlfriend Erin Darke

Rumor mills are rife from Hollywood with the news of Harry Potter star Daniel Radcliffe proposing to long time girlfriend Erin Darke. The much in love couple is apparently busy shopping for the ring and preparing for the impending wedding.

Daniel Radcliffe and Erin Darke have been dating each other for over five years now. The 27-year-old actor is said to have popped up the question to 28-year-old Erin recently. Sources claim that the couple have been thinking about marriage for a long time now and decided to go ahead with it. Daniel is said to have taken Erin on a shopping spree sparing no expense.

The Harry Potter star is said to have met Erin Darke on the sets of Kill Your Darlings. They came together since then and grew even closer after featuring in the Amazon Prime series Good Girls Revolt. Radcliffe is said to have said that Darke makes him laugh and is smart and incredibly funny.

Kangana Ranaut, “Not Fighting Karan Johar, Fighting Male Chauvinism”

Kangana has had a successful run in the recent past churning out quality work like Tanu Weds Manu, Queen and Tanu Weds Manu Returns sans any Godfather in Bollywood.

Success of her movies like Queen made the so-called Bollywood mafia of the Chopras, KJos and the Khans sit up and take notice of this self made star. So, it was in the fifth season of Koffee With Karan that Kangana was invited as a guest to the show along with Saif Ali Khan.

On the show, Kangana made a couple of comments that Karan took offence of. Kangana called Karan the “flag bearer of nepotism’ and the kingpin of the Bollywood mafia. While Karan did not take offence to her comments in the show but reacted to it at a recent event he attended at the London School of Economics. He said that Kangana should not play the victim card and she probably has misinterpreted the meaning of nepotism.

Kangana Ranaut reacted to strongly to Karan accusations saying she cannot comment on Karan’s understanding of the same and that he probably thinks it is restricted to the sons, daughters and nephews. Kangana further said that it is mocking an artiste when Karan says that he chose not to give her work. Kangana further justified her nepotism comment by saying that though Karan’s talk show debuted in 2008 she got invited to the show in its fifth season.

The actress, however, took strong offence to Karan Johar’s comment about her using the victim card. Kangana reacted strongly to it turning the ongoing spat in to a battle of the sexes. Calling the comment demeaning to women, Kangana said she is not fighting Karan, but the mindset. It is male chauvinism that is fighting against.

Karan who recently became a father to a boy and a girl got another piece of advice from the feisty actor that Kangana is. Kangana advised Karan that as a father of a little girl, Karan should provide her with the – ‘victim card’ and the ‘woman card’ as well as the ‘independent self made woman card’ and the ‘badass card’ is flashed on Karan’s show. The actor stated that women would use everything possible to ensure no one rocks their boat.

Kangana also reacted to Karan Johar’s comment that he was gracious enough not to chop off the clips from the show and allowed it to be aired on national television. Kangana Ranaut said that Karan was only a paid host and that the channel wants TRP. She sarcastically stated that his father did not gift the film industry to Karan and that every one has the right to be a part of this industry. She further asserted that she will not leave the film industry.

“A Day Without A Woman”: An Event 106 Year Old And Still Relevant

It is March 8, observed International Women’s Day all over the world. And this year, it is called “A Day Without A Woman”. The women today won’t be coming to work.

This event has been observed for the last 106 years with its origin in the socialist movement of Europe in the 1900 and the U.S. This day gives women the power to define their agenda and the change that needs to happen for them to achieve equality. It has been an effective way of having their voices heard and that too without any organizer or a set agenda.

There is a women’s march in Washington Square on March 8 that is encouraging women to take the day off from office or any other work that they do. By taking the day off the organizers hope to drive home the point of how important a role woman play in the workplace and in the economy as a whole.

There are many companies who are showing their solidarity to this event, like UTA that is planning to organize a off-site event for all its female employees in Los Angeles, New York and Toronto.

There is MTV, who as a sign of solidarity to women, will flip their logo upside down and morph it in to a “W” for women. Its social media account that is almost entirely run by women will have automated posts being updated, as the women employees will be on strike.

Fusion TV is celebrating the day by showcasing stories about women and by women. The stories selected for showcase marking the women’s day include sexuality, maternal health and definition of feminism in the Trump age.

Marie Claire has launched a campaign named #WhatIWishISaid on their social media account encouraging women to speak out about those moments of sexism that they wish they could rewrite. There are other sites like Glamour, Vogue and Teen Vogue who are covering the strike.

Prince Harry Attends Close Pal’s Wedding With Alleged Girlfriend Meghan Markle

Prince Harry attended his close friend Tom Inskip’s wedding in Jamaica with his new girlfriend, Meghan Markle.

The prince and the American actress from the TV series “Suits” partied with some of their best pals at the wedding. For the nuptials, Meghan Markle dressed up in a long floral gown and sunglasses Prince Harry, who was among the 14 ushers for the groom, was dressed up in a navy blue suit and trousers.

The couple attended together their first wedding that is being considered as something like officially announcing their relationship to the public. Though, in the past Markle has attended many parties with the prince and has met most of his friends since they have been dating.

Guests at the wedding said that the couple shared many PDA moments that included a sweet little kiss. During the wedding, Harry was busy introducing Meghan to his friends and the couple is seem to be very much in love. There was a point in the joyful wedding when Prince Harry stood up and did some dance moves for his Lady.

Before coming to the wedding, the couple is said have spent a romantic break in Norway. In the beginning of January and February of this year, Markle joined Harry at his Kensington Palace before returning to Toronto.
