EMI Zindagi...!!!

It was my dream..to get married to a software professional. Know why?
Well, young and sleek looking guys carrying lappy's and moving around with a ciggy and burger in hand...(yeah! I know the whole American culture), this picture used to fascinate me.
You can say this was the effect with me probably because I came from a small city. Anyways, so my thinking was that they would get fat paychecks..leading to a lifestyle of luxury!
Wow! Now I must tell you I wasn't wrong in thinking so. Fat paychecks, lappy's strung acrooss the shoulder and living life in the fast lane, is all indded a part of the whizkids daily life.
I got everything that I had wished for as far as the wishlist mentioned above is concerned. But, there is something that I missed...there is a pro and con to everything.
After my marriage to this whizkid, I learned the value of time, place and prority.
Time is a "BIG"... yes a big constraint. Like this popular line from some masala bollywood song says..."pyaar chahiye ke paisa chaihiye"(you know..love or money!)..yeeee... need both dahling!
And you know what... when I had this dream..I had never visited a metropolis earlier... so, the cost of living factor... never clicked my mind!
Geee.. today, being in the capital city of the country, married to a software pro, who is ambitious and considers time as money, a complete workaholic(had only read this term in a dictionay earlier) I am leading an EMI Zindagi!

Thirst of the Human Soul!

Take it Easy!

One simple thought can be the key to all your problems!
I have recently found my key towards leading guilt free and relaxed life. It was on my last trip to Jaipur, I came across someone, actually a stranger who uttered these golden words to me.
What he said was, “There is nothing that you lack, and it’s just that you think too much. Take it easy and you will be happy”.
Now, how difficult is it to do that. But since then I made sure to follow this advice and have experienced a positive change in my life. I mean just think about it, we often spend our time and energy worrying about our problems often without any results. There are certain things that heal with time or only time have answers to it. Then, why do we waste our time, peace and happiness fretting over issues which we do not have control over.
Why not just let it be…. Enjoy life and let the devil worry!
Though being a human, still, there are times when I worry about issues which I hold no control over. I only end up spoiling my mood and those of people around me. But am working on it and have improved my life a lot.
Life really is so simple and easy. And I want it that way…. No complications or problems.
My life is mine and I will lead it my way. I know I will not harm anyone intentionally. I know what I want and it is not something that is out of this world.
Thus, I am taking things easy….. With a SMILE :)

For long now.... I wanted to pen down few thoughts of mine!
Not sure, however, what to write about. Nothing going around motivated me much...
....I was back home after a long day at work and unwinding by surfing the television channels... when I suddenly heard someone quote these thoughtful lines by "Dhumil"...the great hindi poet...
I got so hooked on to the thought behind the poem...that had to post this in my blog today.
I only hope that this question to the society by the poet evokes some self esteem and self respect in the leaders of our country and the society in general...
Here it goes...

I Believe...!!!
It indeed teaches you to change yourself for the one who you love...you do not hesitate to compromise... you give up upon your ego and ....Surrender!!!
Ahh... and certainly.... as it is famously quoted in matters of love.."it makes you go weak on your knees!".
So..here I am... kind of confessing on this public forum... that...
I Believe...!!!
